Also known as rapini, the pungent green is a member of the Brassica family but is actually more closely related to turnips than the better-known broccoli. Rabe does not form a large domed head like broccoli. It’s leaves and florets are slightly bitter and make a great addition to stir fries.

Storage: Broccoli rabe should be stored in plastic in the fridge. It can also be blanched and frozen for later use.
