Arugula is a leafy green of the cabbage (Brassica) family. Delicious in salads, arugula has a peppery flavor, though dressing it with some lemon and olive oil cuts the spice down a bit. A cool-weather loving crop, arugula is typically available in spring or fall.
Storage: Arugula is best stored in a plastic bag in the fridge. Storage life can be extended by making sure the leaves are dry and poking a few pinholes in the bag.
